In history, we have been learning about the Spartans as part of our unit on Ancient Greeks. We have learned how they began their training at 7 years old. They were treated quite cruelly in order to toughen them up. They were taught how to fight, and steal, and survive in terrible conditions. They were the greatest warriors of the Greek world because of their brutal training.
