This week the children continued to read on in their exciting class reader 'The Jungle Book' and they started to write sentences about the characters. In addition to ensuring that their sentences contained a subject (the 'who') and a predicate (the 'what') the children are now beginning to learn about adjectives to describe the noun. This new focus will develop over the coming weeks, as they also learn more about the conjunction 'and'.
In their Art lessons this week, the children were very excited to paint their penguin sculptures! They do indeed look amazing, and the children are looking forward to taking these home once they are fully dry.
