Historians at work!!
This week in history, Year 6 learned how the Nazi Party controlled many aspects of everyday life in Germany.
We found out that women were expected to stay at home, look after the house, and have children 👩👧👦🏠. Children’s lives were also closely controlled. Boys were encouraged to join the Hitler Youth, and girls joined the League of German Maidens.
We learned that the Nazis wanted children to be taught that the Aryan race was superior, which helped spread their beliefs. This lesson helped us understand how governments can influence people’s lives and why it is important to question ideas and learn from history 🤔🌍.
