Year One children became weather presenters this week! As part of our 'Seasons and Weather' unit in Science, the children used their knowledge of weather symbols to tell others what the weather was going to be like that day. They have learned about the names of different types of clouds and how different weather instruments are used to measure temperature, rainfall and the wind direction. Combining with their developing knowledge of the United Kingdom from our Geography unit this term, the children did a great job of delivering their weather forecasts.
This week the children continued to develop their drawing skills as part of our new Art unit, based on 'Architecture'. This time they worked hard to recreate Westminster Abbey as a pencil sketch and once again they were very proud of their final pieces. Well done, Year One!
Thank you for ensuring that the children have their Forest Schools bag every Tuesday. Please name all clothing in these bags and also PE hooded tops, school cardigans and jumpers. This helps us considerably in being able able to reunite clothing with the right owner!
