Even though it was a four-day week because of the Bank Holiday, we have certainly completed enough work for a five-day week! What a busy and fantastic week it has been!
➗ Maths
In Maths, we have been working hard on fractions. We have: found fractions of amounts, added fractions, subtracted fractions. Mrs Broda-Kaye has been really impressed with our excellent work and how neatly we have presented it in our books
✍️ English
In English, we have started writing our diary entries. We pretended to be Beowulf and explained, in gruesome detail, how we defeated Grendel by pulling his arm off! Some of our descriptive sentences were so vivid that they made Mrs Broda-Kaye and Mrs Tinnon squirm!
🌼 Science
In Science, we learned about the importance of pollinators and how they help to spread seeds. We discovered that pollinators, especially bees, are extremely important to our lives and the environment.
🏀 PE
In PE, we have worked hard to develop our basketball skills and have started to play matches. Everyone showed great teamwork and determination! A busy and fantastic week all round — well done everyone!
🌍PSHE
In PSHE, we explored the British Value of Tolerance. We discussed what it means to respect and accept people who may have different beliefs, opinions, cultures, or lifestyles from our own. We shared ideas about how we can show tolerance every day by being kind, listening to others, and treating everyone fairly. As part of our lesson, we completed an activity where we shared our views on how we can make our planet a better place to live.
