✍️ English
This week in English we’ve been busy building a creative and powerful word bank to help us write our narrative about the epic battle between Beowulf and the Death Dragon. Towards the end of the week, we focused on using speech and even found an awesome song to help us remember how to punctuate dialogue correctly.
📏 Maths
In Maths we explored measure and learned how to use a ruler accurately.
We practised converting lengths, adding lengths, and measuring carefully.
👑History
We also took a fascinating detour into the world of Edward IV and Henry VI.
We discovered that both kings won and lost battles, both were exiled, and eventually Edward IV was crowned while Henry VI was arrested and taken to the Tower of London 🏰.
🌍 Geography 🇮🇳
In Geography we zoomed in on India and explored how incredibly diverse its landscapes are — from snowy mountains to tropical beaches, from deserts to lush forests. We also learned how varied the weather can be across such a huge country.
🏛️ Latin
On Friday, we worked hard expanding our knowledge of Latin words and spotted loads of interesting word relationships. We’re becoming brilliant little etymologists — detectives of language!
