✏️ English
This week in English, we have been incredibly busy crafting our narratives about Beowulf and Wiglaf ⚔️📖 We focused on writing a range of complex and compound sentences, making sure our ideas flowed smoothly and kept the reader hooked. Mrs Broda‑Kaye has been so impressed with the ambitious vocabulary we’ve included — our word choices have really helped to build tension and excitement in our stories! We are becoming confident storytellers who can bring legendary characters to life.
➗ Maths
In Maths, we completed our unit on measure
We explored:
- grams (g) and kilograms (kg)
- litres (L) and millilitres (ml)
- how to read different scales accurately
We even had the challenge of measuring out real amounts and identifying which scale was being used — tricky at times, but we worked brilliantly and supported each other throughout.
🏰 History
Our History learning took us back to the dramatic Battle of Bosworth.
We explored how King Henry VII won the battle and how this moment changed English history forever.
On Friday, we proudly shared our work in our Celebration Assembly, and our parents and guardians were amazed by the detail and effort we put into our learning. It was wonderful to see everyone so proud of what we’ve achieved!
🌞 A Hot but Happy Week!
It’s been a very warm week, but that didn’t stop us from working hard and staying positive. We supported each other to stay cool, enjoyed ice pops, and even dipped our feet in water trays to cool down — a big hit with everyone! 😄❄️💦 Despite the heat, we kept our spirits high and continued to shine in all our learning.
